About China Standard Time
China Standard Time is used in all of mainland China, all year, even though the country spans about five geographic time zones. It shares its abbreviation with US Central Standard Time but is 14 hours ahead of it in winter.
Daylight saving time
China Standard Time is UTC+8 all year. It does not change for daylight saving time, so its gap to places that do switch, like New York or London, changes by an hour twice a year.
