Daylight saving time
Brasília does not observe daylight saving time, so the clock stays on Brasilia Standard Time (UTC−3) all year. That makes the gap to places that do switch, like New York or London, change by an hour twice a year.
Good to know
Brazil stopped using daylight saving time in 2019. São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro now stay on Brasília Time, UTC−3, all year.
